Does The President “Run The Country”?

The President heads the Executive Branch, commands the armed forces, and speaks for our country abroad. But he most surely does not “run the country.” No one does. No one can.

A communist or fascist country can be “run” by the General Secretary or the Fuehrer. But a free country is not “run” by anybody except the people, despite what you would like. Got it?
