Final Hostage Recovered

The final Israeli taken hostage on Oct. 7, 2023, has been recovered after 843 days. The parents of Ran Gvili thanked the IDF for their efforts. Oh, did I forget to mention that the young man is dead, and his remains were recovered. This offers some shred of closure for his parents and friends.

Back where I come from, if you kidnap someone and he dies in the process, you face the death penalty. In case you are wondering, I come from America. Remember that country? I do.

But of course, things are different now, and really different in the Middle East. There any crimes, no matter how cruel and revolting, are permissible, even praiseworthy. After all, the Jews stole the land.

And they are not real Jews anyhow. They have some European DNA. Except those from the Middle East and North Africa, of course. And they don’t even speak real Hebrew. They use loan words from other languages. What is the biblical Hebrew for USB or solid-state drive?

Ron Gvili will soon be forgotten, except by his family and friends. No, that isn’t right. He can’t be forgotten if we never heard of him in the first place. Images of children huddling against the snow in Gaza fill social media. (Snow in Gaza?) But Ran Gvili has already vanished into the black hole of biased media.
