Nature may abhor a vacuum, but thugs love it. At home, when police are defunded, demoralized, and neutered, criminals fill the vacuum. In Democrat-run cities across the US, we see increased violent crime – assaults, robberies, carjackings, and homicides. And abroad, we are now seeing what happens when America withdraws, and when our leaders are seen as weak and ineffectual.

Does China possess the capability to stage a massive amphibious assault? Perhaps not yet. But would a D-Day assault be necessary?

With the threat of nuclear weapons hanging over Taiwan, would the Communist Chinese forces be welcomed as Hitler’s troops were welcomed when they rolled into Austria? The parallel is unavoidable: A powerful nation “reunites” with a weaker one that contains the same people and speaks the same language. Perhaps invading troops will be greeted with flowers, the way Nazi troops were.

And what would America and our allies do if Taiwan ceased to exist as a free nation, and was absorbed into Greater China? The same thing they did when Austria ceased to exist as a free nation, and was absorbed into the Greater German Reich – nothing. Whatever your view of President Biden, there is one thing you cannot say: that he evokes fear. Trump kept people up at night. Biden puts them to sleep during the day.
