News report: “Secretary of State Antony Blinken invites UN to do an investigation of contemporary racism in the United States.”
Struck by the incredible wisdom and patriotism of Secretary Blinken’s proposal, I came up with a few proposals of my own:
- Secretary of Health and Human Services invites Charlie Manson to study what’s wrong with American families.
- Secretary of Defense invites Jane Fonda to improve morale in the armed services.
- Director of National Institutes of Health invites Jeffrey Dahmer to lecture on a healthful diet.
- Attorney General asks Michael Avenatti to improve teaching of ethics in law schools.
- Secretary of the Treasury invites Bernie Madoff to advise him on monetary policy.
- Secretary of Transportation asks Capt. Smith of the Titanic to investigate safety of cruise ships.
- Director of FBI invites John Dillinger to take charge of interstate crime investigation.
- Director of CIA asks President Xi of China to improve our security procedures.
- Executive Vice President of NRA asks Chuck Schumer to help support 2nd Amendment.
- President of NAACP invites Exalted Cyclops of KKK to address their convention.
I’m sure you can add to this list. Just think of enemies we can ask to help us, and those who are doing poorly we can ask to improve us. You know – like inviting the Three Stooges to take charge of border security. Oh wait, they already are.
