51 immigrants die in abandoned truck in hot sun, while White House Press Secy says “…border is closed.” The government lying to the people is a crime against democracy. The government lying about – and ignoring – conditions that caused deaths of 51 helpless immigrants is a sin.
Jefferson said, “I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that His justice cannot sleep forever.” He was referring to slavery, but his warning applies equally to encouraging illegal immigration, then doing nothing to protect the immigrants from heartless coyotes. Can a country that acts like that survive? More importantly, does it deserve to?
