Malaria was thought to be due to bad air, hence the name. So when Sir Ronald Ross discovered it was spread by mosquitoes, it was “misinformation,” right? He must be silenced, lest he confuse people, right? The “scientific consensus” declares he is mistaken.
The very concept of “misinformation” is antithetical to science. Science progresses only by outliers challenging accepted dogma.
