Oh, now I understand. “Misinformation” is whatever disagrees with Fauci, who as you recall identifies himself with “science.”

How is this different, intellectually or morally, from the old Soviet Union? There dictator Stalin became intrigued with the phony biologic theories of Lysenko, and appointed him “official scientist.” Those who disagreed were fired if they were lucky, and sent to Siberian prison camps if they were unlucky.

As a result, grain harvests were reduced, and people stood in line for bread. But Lysenko remained in power till Stalin died. And as a result, the US suffered prolonged lockdowns, school closures, and church closures, with all the damage that ensued.

Only totalitarian nations have “official scientists.” Only would-be totalitarians want to be “official scientists.” Only malignant narcissists identify themselves with “science.” I thought we knew that.
