Everything turned on its head, from the FBI and the CDC to the military and our educational system? Everything radically different from what it was even 10 years ago? But we are supposed to pretend we don’t see the changes.
Citizens of a constitutional republic could not possibly fail to notice such profound alterations of their basic freedoms – and react strongly. But subjects of a totalitarian regime would be expected to meekly lower their heads and go about their assigned jobs.
React? Subjects don’t react, any more than sheep react. They aren’t aware there is anything to react to. And even if they were aware, what could they do? After all, they are only sheep. Their role in life is to be fleeced periodically, and then to wind up as mutton chops.
