NYC woman assaulted by homeless, mentally ill man. Hit with heavy walking stick, sprayed with urine, golden retriever killed. Police do nothing, City Council member sympathetic to criminal. Woman finds man, police in car wave her away. Calls 911, police arrive 40 min later, man gone. Woman is marathoner but afraid to walk on street.
Only 2 possibilities: 1) Death of great city – only very rich with bodyguards, and very poor remaining. 2) Citizens take matters into their own hands and form vigilante groups. Current “progressive” situation is unstable and cannot persist.
