Forgot Our Past, Lost Our Future

“Only one in four [public high school students] could correctly name George Washington as the first president of the United States. Only 10% of students knew there are nine justices on the Supreme Court, and only 29% knew the president headed the executive branch of government. Only 3% of students were able to answer six out of the 10 questions—the passing score for the U.S. citizenship test.”

This was in 2009. You think things have improved since then? Our schools are not educating citizens, they are indoctrinating subjects. Unless this changes, we’re sunk. If we don’t study history, we will soon become part of it.
