During BLM demonstrations Denver School Board voted 7-0 to remove school police officers. The police were restored when an expelled former student shot and wounded 2 administrators. We can hope that the School Board would have done the same if 2 students had been shot. But as they say, hope is not a plan.
We guard what we value. We put armed guards in banks. We transport money in armored cars. But we leave many schools unguarded. What does that say about our priorities? What does that say about us as human beings?
