Mail delivery halted in one Seattle zip code because of thefts. On west side of LA we must go to post office to send important mail. Many mailboxes have glue on flap, catches letter for thieves. Our credit card payment was stolen from mail, cashed. We need more armed postal inspectors surveilling mailboxes. Police protection and mail delivery are basic government functions. When they fail it’s not a hopeful sign.
