As a resident of California, every week I receive an unsolicited and unwanted email from Attorney General Bob Bonta. This week’s dispatch deals with disinformation spread by crisis pregnancy centers and “big oil.” And who decides what is disinformation? The Democratic Party, in the person of Bob Bonta, of course.

But the message does not come from the Democratic Party. It comes from the attorney general, the state’s chief law-enforcement officer. If is a political pamphlet disguised as an official government dispatch. It represents the dangerous mixture of politics and law-enforcement, a mixture that can explode and wreck a free nation.

The next step: Former New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said it: If you don’t hear it from the government, it isn’t true.

And then the final step: We emulate Stalin’s Soviet Union and control all information. We emulate Nazi Germany and appoint Minister of Propaganda and Public Enlightenment in the person of Herr Doktor Goebbels. NOW are you worried?
