Football Moment Of Silence

World football (soccer) authority refuses to ask for minute of silence to honor Israeli victims of terrorism. So under-21 players organize their own minute of silence. Interestingly, the match was held in Lodz, my father’s birthplace.

He experienced discrimination, so he left for America as a teenager. In those days, America and other Western democracies were relatively free of anti-Semitism. But things have changed. Now America and other Western democracies are experiencing a rise in anti-Semitism, while Eastern Europe is experiencing a fall. Odd how things turn out.
