If you wanted to anger and alienate air travelers, you could not find a more effective method. If you wanted to find a less logical, less effective method of border security, you would have to search far and wide. But who would want to anger and alienate travelers? Who would want an ineffective means of border security? Friends or enemies? The answer is painfully obvious.
