Only a few years ago, journalists were the guardians of free speech. They learned it in J school. They practiced it daily. Their living depended on it. But no more. Now their living depends on parroting the Party Line.

But wait. I have insulted parrots, which are beautiful, intelligent birds. It is not true that they understand nothing of what they say. We knew a parrot named Larry. When someone ran the kitchen sink, he said “Get the water.” He knew the meaning of at least some of what he said. So I apologize to parrots. They are more intelligent than many journalists, who mouth leftist mantras without the slightest understanding of the misery they cause.

Then along comes an ordinary guy like Dana White. He is gifted with the intelligence and common sense to support freedom. And he dropped out of college twice, so he was never indoctrinated to believe in government control instead of freedom. Imagine if he could teach in J school. He would not give a course on how to put a “leash” on human beings.
