Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Myorkas was impeached by the House on a narrow vote. The charge was that he failed miserably to do his constitutional and statutory duty and keep the homeland secure by securing the border. Tens of thousands enter illegally, and no one knows who they are: convicted felons, human traffickers, agents of terrorists, whoever. But this is based on the faulty premise that Mayorkas was hired to do this job.

On the contrary, he was hired to keep the border wide open to illegals, who could turn red states like Texas purple with an influx of Democrat voters, as well as maintain the flow of illegal drugs like the lethal fentanyl. These duties he fulfilled faithfully. This reminds us of Murphy’s Law of Success:

Before you can determine whether someone is succeeding or failing, you first must discover what he is trying to do. It may be quite different from what you imagine he is trying to do.

Imagine an NYPD detective who is working for the mob. Imagine a DEA or Border Patrol agent who is working for the cartel. Imagine a State Department official who is working for George Soros. You see my point. How can you say Mayorkas failed when you don’t know what he is trying to do, or for whom he is working? All you can say with certainty is that he isn’t working for us, and that his job description is not to be found in the Constitution or statute books. Once you understand that, everything else falls into place.
