Fareed Zakaria, CNN guru extraordinaire, discussed the Mideast situation and referred to “Bibi Netanyahu’s war.” Two points:
• The war did not begin when Hamas sent hundreds of terrorists to infiltrate into Israel and kill men, women, children, even babies, whole families, and commit sexual crimes. No, the war began only when Israel retaliated and went after the headquarters of Hamas. An odd concept of war. So our participation in World War II began not when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, but when we bombed Tokyo in response, right?
• Netanyahu, whom Zakaria plainly dislikes, is not Prime Minister Netanyahu, nor Benjamin, nor Binyamin, but merely Bibi. Then why is the President of France Emmanuel Macron, not Manny? Why is the Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholtz, not Oley? Why habitually use the nickname only for the Jew?
