• After repeated phone calls, ambulance assigned, 10:01.
• Ambulance arrives on scene, 11:37.
• Victim lay in street 4 hours 7 minutes.
• Covered by blanket but lay on cold, wet street, described as “very cold.”
• Died in hospital shortly after midnight.
• Driver charged with homicide, but lousy care probably killed him.
• Might well have received faster care in Victorian era with horse-drawn ambulance, or passer-by taking him in privately owned carriage.
• The “care” was FREE, but does this justify all the defects?
• An example of “You get what you pay for, if you are lucky.”
