President Biden proclaimed Easter Sunday as Transgender Visibility Day. Two questions:

• Who benefits from having this controversial day on the same day as Easter, one of the two holiest days in the calendar of the 2.4 billion Christians in the world? Who benefits from the anger and resentment that many Christians, and those who respect them, are likely to feel? Surely the transgendered will not benefit. They have enough problems already. No, the enemies of Western civilization and democracy will benefit by stirring up even more trouble among us. Which may be the real purpose of the exercise.

• Who says visibility is what the transgendered want or need the most, or at all? I knew a transgender who appeared as a beautiful girl. She worked in a service industry but was very shy. When I smiled at her she smiled back, then looked away in embarrassment. The very last thing she would have wanted was more visibility. I would guess that the large majority of the transgendered feel the same way. Leftists want more visibility, so they assume everyone does.

But leftists use people. They use the transgendered as a crowbar to pry apart groups. Feminists use women, but have nothing to say about biological males stealing their athletic medals and scholarships. The ADL uses Jews, but have nothing to say about Democrat politicians who pressure Israel to let Hamas survive and carry out more murder raids. The NAACP uses Blacks, but have nothing to say when the Black unemployment rate falls to its all-time low under Trump. So why should we be surprised when leftists use the transgendered for their own benefit, not the benefit of the transgendered?
