This report concerns a New England medical group. It represents a misguided attempt at “equity.” The fear is that reporting drug-addicted newborns would disproportionately affect Black mothers. But the same report could just as well concern the KKK. They wouldn’t report drug-addicted Black babies, either. Their motive would be different: To allow as many Black babies as possible to be brain damaged or die. But the action would be the same. And so would the results.
