More Campus Anti-Semitism, This Time At Rutgers
Bethany S. Mandel, a Rutgers alumna, shared a video of the event, in which Jew-hating students wore and waved keffiyehs (a pro-Palestine scarf), chanting anti-Israel slogans. Jewish students, who had come to the town hall to ask officials about their safety on campus, were left alone in the room with students who were calling for the destruction of the Jewish state.
At some point, hopefully soon, we will have to decide whether we will allow our universities to be taken over by violent anti-Semites, the way German and Austrian universities were taken over by Nazis in the 1930s. Totalitarianism is like cancer. Denying it only allows it to grow. If history proves anything, it is that it won’t cure itself. It will poison a generation of young minds, and then we are sunk.
