You have every right to believe what you like about Netanyahu’s motivation. Of course, so does Biden. But Biden is presumably the leader of a great nation. He does not have the right to criticize the motivation of the leader of an ally who is engaged in a war.

Ask yourself: How do friends and potential enemies see Biden’s comment? Support for a friend in trouble, or enabling a mutual enemy? Does this make it more likely that America will attract more friends, or accumulate more enemies? For a moment, forget about Israel and ask, is this comment good for America? You remember America, right? Our homeland?

You can take the Biden approach, or the Gracie approach, but you can’t take both. Your choice.
