Democrats continue to predict the “horrors” of a Trump presidency, despite the obvious fact that Trump already was President for four years, and nothing bad happened – except for (perhaps not coincidentally) covid.

For example, Rep. Jake Auchincloss (D,MA), a relative of Jackie Kennedy, projectile-vomits a series of horrors that Hitler himself would be hard-pressed to inflict on our country. But so what? you ask.

I’ll tell you so what. True, the vast majority of reasonable people hear these dire predictions of Trump-induced doom as so much horse poop. But a minority of weak-minded individuals believe it. And an even smaller minority is prepared to act on it.

Suppose “The Time Machine” was not just a novella by H.G. Wells but an actual device. Would it not be your moral obligation to go back to the 1930s and kill Hitler before the onset of World War II and the Holocaust?

Suppose you believe Rep. Auchincloss and his colleagues with their emesis of horrors? Is it not your moral duty to prevent the inauguration of Donald J. Trump by any means necessary? And if you do that, what do you suppose his supporters will do? Sit by idly and meekly await your orders? Or react more vigorously? Much more vigorously.

Let us stop this inflammatory rhetoric before it succeeds in starting a conflagration. No one can possibly know what will be consumed.
