I have been trying to find an appropriate theme song for the Democrats’ as-yet unsuccessful attempts to rid themselves of Joe Biden. Something about Velcro, perhaps? Or maybe duct tape?

So far, the best I have been able to do is an old song about a cat that they simply couldn’t get rid of. No matter what they did, this was the result:

The cat came back
He wouldn’t stay away
He was sitting on the porch
The very next day.

We all want to be famous for something. We all want to leave our mark. But I don’t think we want to be remembered for being impossible to get rid of. At least that’s not what I want to be known for. How about you?

But please, don’t talk about overstaying his welcome. He wasn’t that welcome in the first place.
