You thought it was bad when spectators said they had reported the shooter on the roof with a rifle to police minutes before the near-assassination, but police did nothing. It’s worse. Now reports state that police were notified nearly a half hour before the shooting. This reminds me of the proverb: “When seconds count, police are just minutes away.” But in reality, they are a half hour away. And even then they may not do anything.

The whole thing is summarized, ever so sadly, by Dennis Prager’s wife Susan: “At long last, Robert Kennedy Jr. has been granted Secret Service protection. Now I’m really worried for him.”

The Keystone Kops were an amusing movie series. Their clumsy maneuvers made audiences roar with laughter. But when the U.S. Secret Service takes them as role models, it’s not funny at all. DEI is no substitute for USSS.
