FBI Director Wray: Trump’s right ear may have been hit by shrapnel from bullet rather than bullet itself.
At first it was speculated that the bullet had hit one of the two Teleprompters and sprayed glass fragments. However, the Teleprompters appear intact, and the sound of shattered glass is notably absent. But aside from the undamaged Teleprompters, what else could have caused shrapnel? Wray didn’t say.
There are two possibilities:
1) The bullet hit something and smashed it into shrapnel. But what? There is nothing that looked smashed.
2) The bullet hit something and was itself smashed into shrapnel. But what around Trump is hard enough to do that, yet look undamaged?
Besides, what the bleep is the difference? If Trump were in the Army, he would be listed as WIA (wounded in action), and depending on his commanding officer, be entitled to a Purple Heart Medal.
I can see it now. The mainstream media regurgitating anti-Trump propaganda: “FBI Director says Trump not hit by bullet.” But like most things that are regurgitated, it smells really awful.
The whole thing seems like a not-so-subtle attempt to minimize Trump’s injuries. But the fact remains they tried to kill him. The bullet came within 1 to 2 centimeters of blowing off the right side of Trump’s head, like what happened to John Fitzgerald Kennedy. I haven’t forgotten that. I won’t forget this, either. I have many faults, but politically based amnesia is not one of them.
