Report: Years of articles and news items describing Kamala Harris as “border czar” were wrong. Apparently even when Biden announced she would address the “root causes” of massive immigration, he was wrong, too. Apparently Harris had nothing to do with the border.
Very well, so if it wasn’t Harris, then who was in charge of our wide-open southern border? Who allowed, even enabled, the deluge of illegal drugs, including deadly fentanyl, which kills over 100,000 Americans annually? Who ignored the flood of human trafficking, including sex trafficking of women and children? If not Kamala, then who?
1) Nicholas II. He may have been incompetent, but at least he was a real czar.
2) Alejandro Mayorkas. As Secretary of Homeland Security, he oversaw the Border Patrol. But he testified under oath to Congress that the border is “secure.” Secure from what? Truth tellers?
3) The Three Stooges. I hoped it was Moe, who sometimes had a glimmer of reason. But no, it was Larry, who didn’t.
4) Wolfgang Sebastian Mayer, the Eleven-Fingered Piano Player. He knew nothing about the border, but at least he kept us entertained with music.
But no, it was Kamala. Looking at her as “border czar,” I am reminded of a scene in “The Departed.” Police officer Mark Walberg criticizes another cop. The cop retorts, “Who the hell are you?” Walberg replies, “Who am I? I’m the guy who does his job. You must be the other guy.”
[NOTE: How do you say “world salad” in Spanish? Useful information on border. The closest I can come is ensalada de palabras or palabrerĂo. But this implies meaningless hot air, rather than words randomly strung together with no regard for continuity or logic. The first is typical politician-speak. The latter suggests a mental disorder.]
