Two incompatible facts:
1) Turkey is a member of NATO and therefore our ally.
2) President Erdoğan of Turkey threatens to invade Israel, also our ally, to aid the Palestinians.

But who will resolve this dangerous contradiction?
•President Biden, who is plainly mentally disabled and unable to resolve his own contradictions?
• Vice President Harris, who at best might give a primary school class: “Turkey is a country between Europe and Asia”?
• Secretary of State Blinken, who has proved to do not much of anything?
• The European members of NATO, who are unclear about anything except their dislike of Jews?

Sometimes, when I am flying, I doze off and dream that the captain comes back to use the restroom, then the first officer comes back to have coffee with the cabin attendants, and I wonder who is flying the plane. The automatic pilot? But that only works when nothing unusual is happening.

Same thing here. The bureaucrats of the Deep State can keep things level only under normal conditions. But what happens when the White House phone rings at 3 am?

Remember when it did ring at 3 am to say that our consulate in Benghazi, Libya was under attack by terrorists? President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton let it go to voice mail, and Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans were killed and possibly tortured.

Erdoğan must be told to forget about his invasion plans. But by whom? The automatic pilot can’t do it. And unless Trump is inaugurated on Jan. 20, 2025, that’s all we will have.

“Nature abhors a vacuum” is true, but no help in an emergency.
