UK Police Chief Suggests He Would Arrest Americans For Highlighting British Riots Online

Wait, what? Sir Whatshisname, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, the top cop in the UK, declares he believes in extraterritoriality. In this outmoded notion, Brits wherever they may be in the world are entitled to be tried in a British court. That unfair idea was possible in the days of the British Empire, when Britannia ruled the waves. But not now, when she can barely rule her own streets. Not now, when mobs of immigrants and native born loot and burn.

But Sir Whatshisname goes even further. He asserts the power to try Americans and others for what they say on the internet. How dare they criticize the inaction of the UK government in the face of domestic terrorism? How dare they even point out the terrorism?

Going to visit Europe? Soon you will have to avoid a stopover in the UK. Who knows? You may be on a hit list of bloggers who said something his nibs didn’t like.
