Did Local Cop Shoot Trump Assassin First?

A Congress member asserts that a local police SWAT officer shot the would-be assassin first, disabling him and damaging his rifle. A Secret Service sniper shot next, killing the assassin. Who shot first is not just a matter of pride.

The killer got off eight rounds and hit with four of them: Trump’s head was grazed, Corey Comparatore was killed, and two others were sent to the hospital. If the assassin could have gotten off another round or two, who knows what damage he might have done?

Apparently the local SWAT officer saw the killer on the roof, ran forward into danger to get a better line of sight, then eliminated the threat. Of course, if he had a better line of sight to the shooter, the shooter had a better line of sight to him.

In Britain they do these things well. They have something called the King’s Police Medal to honor a cop nationally. We need something similar. The first recipient would be the local police SWAT officer. He earned it.
