A Democrat convention in city that has been controlled by Democrats for decades. What could be more Democrat than that? And Democrats boast about falling crime rates as the dead bodies pile up. Stores may be closing. Businesses may be cutting back. But the Medical Examiner is hiring. Business there is good. Better than good.
Other crimes may be hidden. If you don’t prosecute retail theft, few bother to report it, so shoplifting and looting are “down.” But homicide is harder to hide. Even apathetic and dispirited people notice corpses in the street. So the homicide rate goes up, no matter how dishonest the statisticians may be.
The thing speaks for itself. And the thing is extinguished human lives. They are speaking, rather loudly in fact. We had better listen.
