Oh My Goodness! I Nearly Misread Pope’s Message.

Breaking News: Pope Francis Condemns Those Who ‘Repel’ Migrants As ‘Grave Sin’.

But I almost misread the Pope’s message. I thought he said “rappel,” not
“repel.” That is, instead of condemning those who turn back immigrants, I thought he was condemning immigrants who climb over what there is of the border fence and use a rope to rappel down. I mistakenly thought he was condemning law-breakers, rather than those who attempt to uphold the law.

Sorry about that. I should have known better.
