Gold-star families of some of the 13 U.S. service members killed during Biden-Harris’s precipitous withdrawal from Afghanistan 3 years ago insist that they invited former President Trump to observe the day with them and lay a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery. Nevertheless, leftists including Harris claim the visit was in poor taste and a “political stunt.”
Well then, why didn’t Harris or Biden counter Trump’s “political stunt” and pay their own respects at Arlington. Oh, I almost forgot: They were too busy.
Question: Which is better? 1) To do something good that is mixed with a selfish motive. 2) To do nothing and then criticize those who did something. I’ll take 1) every day of the week, and twice on Sunday.
What people say and do are important, of course. But what people omit to say or do is equally important, and often more revealing. Trump found nothing more important than paying his respects at Arlington. Harris did find something more important, and Biden may have been unaware of the whole thing. And all that is of great importance to me.
