Military Disobeyed President Trump On Jan. 6
Congressional testimony reveals that when President Trump ordered the military to use National Guard troops to ensure security on Jan, 6, 2001, they ignored his orders. Was this:
1) Speaker Pelosi planning a riot she could blame on Republicans?
2) Top Pentagon officers worrying about “optics,” how it would look?
3) Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Milley demonstrating his dislike for Trump?
4) All of the above?
In any case, it reveals disobeying a lawful order of a superior, and encouraging others to do so. Back where I come from, we call that mutiny and sedition. Both are punishable by life in prison or, in wartime, death.
Look at this photo of President Trump and General Milley. Look at the expression on Milley’s face. He may or may not not be a loyal officer, but he surely is no actor. He cannot disguise his dislike, even hatred. The phrase, “Cheerful, willing obedience to orders” does not come to mind.
Do you have any idea how dangerous it is to give military officers the notion that they can disobey their civilian superiors whenever it suits them? That, not Trump, is the real “danger to democracy.” And it comes from the Left.
