In a park in Beverly Hills, CA, 1200 small flags move in a gentle breeze. Most are Israeli, but some represent the citizens of other nations who were also killed on Oct. 7, 2003 by Hamas terrorists.
No, not Palestinian freedom fighters. Freedom fighters don’t kill men, women, children, even babies, by beheading and other gruesome methods. Freedom fighters don’t gang rape women and girls. Freedom fighters don’t wipe out whole families and attempt to exterminate whole villages. Freedom fighters don’t aspire to eliminate a whole people not only from the Middle East, but also from the entire Earth.
Only terrorists commit such atrocities. We used to know that. Ordinary people still know that. But those in universities and graduate schools have been taught to think politically, not morally. They need to be reminded of how decent individuals are supposed to act. We need to remind them. If Oct. 7 didn’t revolt and anger you, there is something seriously lacking in you. Best check yourself for a heartbeat. And look at those flags in the park.
