More Word Salad, Well Tossed

Thanks to American Greatness for this transcript of some of the thoughts of Vice President Harris. When you hear her speak them, they may seem to make sense. But when you see a transcript, you know they are gibberish.

You can make of them what you want. I can’t make anything of them. To me they seem like unrelated bits that have been edited out of an important speech. But we were not gifted with the speech. All we have is the edits.

In years past, they would have been small bits of paper cut out and tossed in the trash bin. Now they are a computer file, so they look important, coherent, related, meaningful. But they are none of these things. They are just small bits of a word salad. You want four more years of this? You want world leaders, both friendly and hostile, trying to make sense of what our President says? You want crisis management by salad chef? Good luck. You’ll need it.

“Culture is—it is a reflection of our moment and our time. Right? And present culture is the way we express how we’re feeling about the moment and we should always find times to express how we feel about the moment. That is a reflection of joy. Because, you know… it comes in the morning.”

So, when you think about it, there is great significance to the passage of time in terms of what we need to do to lay these wires. what we need to do to create these jobs. And there is such great significance to the passage of time when we think about a day in the life of our children.”
