Sister Of Slain Soldier Vanessa Guillén Voted For Trump

Mayra Guillén, sister of slain Army private Vanessa Guillén, ignores reports in The Atlantic and says she voted for Trump. The Atlantic reported that Trump offered to pay Vanessa’s funeral costs, but when presented with the bill shouted, “It doesn’t cost $60,000 to bury a f***ing Mexican.”

Mark Meadows, former Chief of Staff to the President, was among those present at the meeting and denies the accusation. This is important. But what is more important is that the late soldier’s sister, who apparently is family spokesperson, publicly announced that she voted for Trump. Thus she declared, in unmistakable terms, whom she trusts and respects, and whom she does not.

Note that Vansessa was not killed in the Fort Hood massacre, but in a personal murder by her Army supervisor. This in no way reduces the gravity of her tragic death. Nor does it minimize in the slightest the journalistic sin of publishing those disgusting remarks on the basis of shaky evidence, assuming there was any evidence at all, and the charges were not pure fabrications intended to smear Trump as a racist.

Facts? We don’t need no stinkin’ facts. We’re progressive journalists. Our job is to defeat Trump, not to seek the truth. What are you, some kind of a MAGA nut? If you declare that Jesus is Lord, you’re at the wrong rally. And if you believe that truth is the highest value. you’re at the wrong publication.
