An identifiably Jewish man was shot on his way to synagogue in Chicago. The assailant shouts “Allahu akbar!” then shoots it out with police. But authorities do not call it a hate crime. Nevertheless, they bravely go so far as to not “rule out the possibility that it could be.” File under S for Strong words, not.

We are in danger of contracting the Whoopi Goldberg Syndrome. The so-called comedian used her tenured spot on The View to declare that Hitler was not a racist. To her, racism can only be about Blacks. Narcissism is dangerous. It can blind us to the pain of others who may not look like us.

When George Zimmerman shot Trayvon Martin, President Obama bemoaned the fact that if he had a son, he would look like Trayvon. So what? What if Trayvon were a blue-eyed redhead? Would his death be one millimeter less tragic? To Obama, it would. And probably to Whoopi.

Fun fact: Whoopi uses a prototypically Jewish stage name, then insults the memory of six million Holocaust victims. Isn’t this similar to a White comedian wearing blackface, then insulting the victims of slavery. Isn’t this, in effect, wearing Jewface?

In fact, Hitler was a pure racist. People who were 1/4 Jew, that is who had one Jewish grandparent, went to the gas chambers, even if they were devout Christians. Obama was narcissistic. Whoopi was ignorant. The Chicago shooting was a hate crime. Period. Full stop.
