Laken Riley, a 21-year-old nursing student, was assaulted and murdered by an illegal alien while jogging outside her Georgia campus. That was horrible. The prosecutor, recently defeated for reelection, did not seek the death penalty, because she never does. If possible, that was worse.
But MSNBC opined that “…he never stood a chance.” I believe that was the worst. It was so bad that MSNBC changed the headline to “…his guilt was never in doubt.” Too little, too late.
If you are a Star Wars fan, you will understand that there is a great disturbance in the Force, which can be rectified only by the death penalty. And if you are a Bible believer, you will recall that if a man lies in wait and murders someone by stealth, we are instructed to take him even from a holy altar and put him to death. This instruction is followed by “I am the Lord,” to indicate the reason for the instruction: A human being created in God’s image has been killed. That is murder and blasphemy. It is an insult to God Himself.
So what can we say to MSNBC for their sympathetic headline about the murderer? Nothing. There is no communication possible with people who live in a different moral universe.
They may look like us and speak English, but they do not speak our language. They do not understand our language. The sanctity of human life utterly escapes them. Let them live in their “progressive” bubble and worry about the welfare of cold-blooded murderers. We are too busy living useful lives to have time to waste on their inane writings, which have the moral worth of the flatulence of hogs.
