Report: Alec Baldwin Says Americans “Know Little or Nothing About the World” at Turin Film Festival.

My deepest contempt goes to the colossal ingrates who insult their homeland while visiting abroad. It is difficult to conceive of so big a jerk. Yet here we are.

Well, Alec, I may not know the things you know. I may not know why voting for a complete non-entity like Harris was a wonderful accomplishment. I may not know why voting for Trump was fascistic at best, and Nazi at worst.

Most importantly, I may not know that safe gun handling includes picking up a gun I have not personally checked, assuming it is unloaded, then pointing it at a woman who is a wife and mother of a small child, and manipulating the trigger and/or hammer until it discharges, killing the woman and wounding a man standing behind her. And then, of course, blaming everyone but myself.

Yes, I admit it. I have lived on this Earth for quite some time. But unlike you, I have not spent decades acting in movies that involved handling guns. I remain ignorant of the profound knowledge you picked up over the years. As you say, like many Americans I remain ignorant of what you know. At least I also don’t know what it feels like to kill someone by my negligence. And I thank the Lord for my ignorance.
