Secret Service Director And Congressman Engage In Shouting Match. Result: A Draw.
The Hill 12/5/24: “Acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe and Rep. Pat Fallon (R-Texas) engaged in a shouting match that persisted over gavel banging, as Rowe accused the lawmaker of politicizing the 9/11 attacks.”
We do not expect witnesses before a congressional committee to raise their voices and shout insults. Nor do we expect members of Congress to act in a similarly unseemly manner. We expect both to engage in reasoned argument about a crucial subject where human lives are at stake. Sadly, our expectations may not be met.
Acting USSS Director Rowe should busy himself with lining up a lucrative security job in private industry when Trump takes over and cleans house at the Secret Service as well as the FBI. Clearly Rowe’s chances of remaining at his current job are so low that they make absolute zero look warm.
If Rowe does not look forward to counting the spoons at the government cafeteria in Fairbanks, Alaska next Jan. 20, he needs to find a new job, where hopefully he can retain control of his temper. If he hopes to work at the Belch Corporation, he must learn not to yell at Old Man Belch. That just doesn’t make for a long employment or a nice Christmas bonus.
This jackass has an excuse for braying loudly. He is following his instinct. Rowe, on the contrary, has no such excuse. He needs to shut his mouth and depart as soon as possible.
