Jesus Was Wrapped In Swaddling Clothes, Not A Palestinian Keffiyeh
The New Testament tells us that Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea. He traced his ancestry through Joseph to King David. He was circumcised on the eighth day, like all Jewish boys. His disciples sometimes called him “rabbi,” meaning my teacher. All 12 of his disciples were also Jewish. He threw the money changers out of the Temple because the Temple was holy to Him. He went up to Jerusalem to observe Passover.
To attempt to de-Judaize Jesus is not only anti-Jewish, it is also deeply anti-Christian. It is saying that the Bible is wrong, and that Jesus was a Muslim prophet, although Muhammad was born four centuries later.
This news report is unspeakably sad. When the defenders of the faith fail to defend the faith, what more is there to say?

Pope Francis unveils Nativity scene, with Jesus swaddled in an Arab keffiyeh
Jesus was a Jew who lived in a land called Judea. That is beyond dispute.
Placing him in a Palestinian keffiyeh is ridiculous, ahistorical, and offensive. pic.twitter.com/fmCXoI8gue
