Candace Owens And USS Liberty

Candace Owens And USS Liberty
Recently Candace Owens, conservative pundit, has shown signs of anti-Semitism around the edges. Example: Mentioning USS Liberty.

During the 1967 Middle East War, the USS Liberty, a US intelligence-gathering ship in the Mediterranean, was attacked by Israeli jet fighters, killing 34 Americans. The Israelis claimed it was an accident, apologized, and paid millions to the survivors.
.
Reportedly, the ship carried only one standard US flag, which hung limp in the light breeze, rather than two or more large “holiday” flags, and perhaps others displayed on the side of the ship, as was prudent. Note that the ship did not look like a warship.
.
But oddly, Owens does not discuss the USS Stark. In 1987, during the Iran-Iraq War, the Stark was attacked by an Iraqi jet fighter, killing 37 Americans. That is, this event was 20 years more recent than the Liberty incident, and more Americans were killed. Even worse, it was clearly deliberate. Saddam promoted the pilot responsible and rewarded him with a Mercedes.
.

USS Liberty: A tragedy, but an accident, which Israel apologized for and paid the families of the victims. But keep picking at the scab, lest it heal over. Friendly fire, like football great Pat Tillman. It happens in war.

USS Stark: More recent, more dead, Saddam boasted about it and rewarded the pilot responsible. But forget about it, no Jews involved.
