Now It’s A War On Christmas Trees
Last year the Greens vandalized Christmas trees. These were in Germany. Oh no, the threat to the planet is not Iranian fanatics with nuclear weapons, or Hamas thugs running around raping and mutilating women and girls. The threat to the planet is Christmas trees. All it requires is a slight change in lyrics: “NO Tannenbaum, NO Tannenbaum…”
This year it’s radical Muslims setting fire to Christmas trees in Syria. Yes, they got rid of dictator Assad. But not to establish freedom, to impose their own tyranny. The expressed reason is religious, not environmental. But the result is the same: Insult Christians’ religion and destroy what is beautiful.
Is there anything beautiful or joyous they will leave standing? Why do they oppose, even fear, people enjoying themselves? Are they leftists or Puritans?
They say they want to save the planet. But for whom? Not for people, they want fewer of those. Not for animals. They want fewer of those as well. Perhaps for the plants. But not for Christmas trees, they really hate Christmas trees. One thing is clear. They are better at destroying than at building. Much better.
