No, not at a specific URL, which she then listed. Not at the Los Angeles City URL, which she then referred to. No, just at “URL.” So typical. Instructions on how to get desperately needed help, but instructions which are useless. Typical of progressives. Typical of worshipers of big government.

The bureaucrats will help you, until they won’t. In fact, they won’t even help you out of the trouble their own actions exacerbated. No, they didn’t cause high winds, which come to southern California every year at this time. Nor did they cause dry vegetation, which go with high winds.

But they did cause a shortage of firefighters, by firing those who refused Covid “vaccine.” They did cause a shortage of personnel and equipment, by reducing the fire department budget. “Defund the police” morphed into “defund all public safety.” Exactly how this helps the little guy and minorities is never stated. In fact, the poor and minorities depend more on public services than do the affluent.

In the Los Angeles County Hospital where I used to work, each elevator bank carried a sign in English and Spanish, telling us that in case of fire, do not use the elevators, use the stairs. To this someone had added in felt tip pen, “y sálvate si puedes,” and save yourself if you can. That has become the unofficial motto of progressives: Save yourself if you can.

Wildfires in California. Hurricanes in Florida. Open border in the South. Inflation and street crime everywhere. Save yourself if you can.
