Canadians Die On Wait-Lists

Report: At least 75,000 Canadians dead from delayed or denied tests or care. Being on a wait-list isn’t care. It’s denial of care.

But, you say, it’s FREE. What is free? The MRI you didn’t get to diagnose a brain tumor when it was still in a curable stage. But you did get it by going across the border to filthy, capitalistic USA with our failed healthcare system. And once it was diagnosed, you were put on a months-long (plural) wait-list for treatment. Back across the border again.

The only reason Canadians tolerate their health care system is the long border they share with the USA. Health care is like your grandma’s pressure cooker. Almost anything is tolerable if there is a safety valve for when the pressure is really on.
