Rebuild Pacific Palisades More “Equitably”?

Report: Leftist Los Angeles mayor plans to rebuild burned-out Pacific Palisades in a “more equitable, environmentally friendly” manner. Without, of course, consulting with the residents – excuse me, former residents.

Translation: Fewer single-family homes, more apartment houses and condos; fewer family owned businesses and restaurants, more big-box stores and fast-food shops. That is, upgrade by going downhill. That is socialism in one sentence.

Odd how leftists get along so well with the billionaire developers they claim to hate. Odd how a little money changing hands can influence even the most committed leftists. Odd how empty reservoirs and dry fire hydrants came along at just the right time to facilitate this profitable but downgraded reconstruction. Odd how things work out, isn’t it?
