Cartel Drone Bombs On Border Patrol?

Is this the first time criminal gangs from Mexico attacked the U.S.A.? No, it happened before, when bandit/revolutionary Francisco “Pancho” Villa invaded Columbus, New Mexico, and killed American troops and civilians. President Wilson, a progressive Democrat, ordered General Pershing to cross the border and capture Villa.

We never got Pancho. His rivals killed him some time later. But the precedent was established: Kill Americans in America, and watch out.

But there is a more recent precedent. During his first term, Trump met with Taliban a leader to discuss our proposed withdrawal from Afghanistan. Trump told him, “If you harm one hair on the head of an American, I will kill you.” Trump then gave the Taliban leader an aerial photo of his house, and walked out of the room.

There is no reason to suppose that Trump would not act similarly with the leaders of the Sinaloa Cartel. They may not realize that they are no longer dealing with Jimmy Carter, whom they called “El Cacahuate,” The Peanut. They may not realize that they are no longer dealing with Joe Biden. I don’t know what they called Biden, perhaps “El Adormilado,” The Sleepy One.

They may not realize that they are now dealing with Donald J. Trump. They may come to call him “El Duro,” the tough guy. They may call him “El Rudo,” The Badass. They may even come to call him “El Sicario,” The Hitman. We will see.
