Tom Homan: Leaker May Be In FBI

Border Czar Tom Homan, Director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), complains that illegal aliens were tipped off to the ICE raid in Aurora, Colorado. As a result, only about one-quarter of the expected members of the violent gang Tren de Aragua were arrested.

Homan noted that advance warning would allow criminals to set up an ambush for his officers, which would endanger their lives. But in an unexpected accusation, Homan stated that the search for the suspected leaker or leakers is leading to the FBI.

Investigate parents who objected at school board meetings? Not good. Investigating traditional Catholics who prefer the Latin Mass? Even worse. Pawing through Melania’s underwear drawer? Disgusting. But undermining a brother federal agency by endangering its agents in cooperation with a criminal gang based in a foreign country? Completely intolerable. Is there a leaker in the FBI, or IS the leaker the FBI?

We now leave the realm of politics, and enter the realm of criminal law. We now leave the realm of legitimate differences, and enter the realm of sedition. We now leave the realm of reforming the FBI, and enter the realm of considering its abolition.

I sincerely hope that Homan is mistaken in his suspicions. Because if he is correct, we are in even deeper doodoo than we thought.
